5 Exciting New Book Releases for March 9th
Hello, my Lovelies,
It is that day again, a day before the world bombards me with all the new books to add to my personal challenge of reading all the books in the world. I need the world to slow down so I can catch up. This week once again it was not a difficult task to pick out five books. March is generally speaking a month when all the books get published. March, May, and September. Those are the months that murder my budget.
Without further ado, here is my list of five books to look out for this week.
Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert- Okay I know this is technically the third book in a series but I really was excited for every single one of these books. I was just holding off on reading them because I did not want to wait for the next book. This is my typical reason for not reading something I’m excited about right away. I think this is the last book of a trilogy though so I should be safe. This book is about the youngest sister of three who has enemies to lovers journey at an inn. Sounds about perfect don’t you all think this is perfect? Can I have this kind of journey?
Sweet & Bitter Magic by Adrienne Tooley- Alright everyone, I love this concept. This is ironic because the concept is that one of the main characters has been cursed to not feel love unless she steals it from people. The other main character agrees to let her take it in exchange for magical help. I don’t know much more but does that not sound like a setup for so many possible complications? There are so many possibilities of the way this story will go. I’m really excited.
Sing Me Forgotten by Jessica S. Olson- The book is a Phantom of the Opera retelling and I am here for it. I have no other choice. I have to be excited for this one or be cursed by the Book Gods. This is also a gender-reversed retelling which I am here for. Honestly, the summary sounds so good. Granted I skimmed it perusal, but even so, there is just so much to possibly love there.
Things That Grow by Meredith Goldstein- Why am I excited about this one? Because it sounds like such a lovely quiet story. There are no life or death stakes, no world-threatening catastrophe. There is just a journey across different gardens to scatter the ashes of a loved one. It sounds so beautiful and like something that could really pull out the feelings and the tears.
The Arsonists' City by Hala Alyan- I have really high expectations of this one. I only read some of those blurb things praising the book but they promised me a lot. They promised me a magical family saga, in the story of some nations. They promised me Lebanon, Syria, and the United States. I have high hopes. I better be satisfied or I will throw a toddler-style tantrum. I am capable, just ask my younger sister.
Alright, my dear book dragon friends. Here are the five books to look out for this week. I think this is quite an interesting list once again. I definitely have a preference for certain types of books, but I try to look outside my comfort zone for titles that interest me.
