February and March Reading Wrap Up (Better Late than Never!)
Hello all, it’s finally time to update you on all the reading I’ve been doing the last two months. Things haven’t exactly gone to plan but I feel like I’m consuming plenty of written word. First up, February. I had a list so I’ll go over that and tell you if I succeeded or failed.
A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer- This was read and I posted a review so I count this as a success
A Heart so Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer- Yeah, no. I have this series problem you see… I still really want to read it… and I will… this year
The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan- Yes I read this one. Again. I still enjoy it even though I know what’s coming
The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black- Did not read this one in February. More like the very end of March… But it’s read! I finished a series! Review to come soon.
Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman- Hahahahhaa. I amuse myself sometimes. No.
The Great Pretender by Susannah Cahalan- Read and was properly freaked out.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen- Not read. Still planning to read soon.
Educated by Tara Westover- Read and reviewed, this one was so good. Seriously so good. If you haven’t read it go read it.
The Assasin’s BladeI by Sarah J Maas- I’m really funny. I mean I amuse myself. Yeah, this is still not read. I will read soon. Unless I don’t.
The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa- Read this one. It definitely suffered from middle book syndrome. But I still enjoyed myself.
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare- has been read and reviewed, I even did it in February. Well, the reading part at least.
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare- Read, and still need to review. I will get to it because it was very good.
Illumine by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman- Oh my God, I loved this book. I still need to write my glowing and gushing review but you go read it in the meantime.
Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky- Nope. Nice try past me.
Sky In the Deep by Adrienne Young- Read and loved this one. I have the review up if you want to go check that out and hear me gush.
The Chain by Adrian McKinty- Did read this one. I had a lot of mixed feelings. The first half was amazing. The second half was… not.
The Duke and I by Julia Quinn- And again this one was a fail. I was thinking it would be good for February and Valentine’s day but that didn’t happen.
Okay, so that’s that for the February plans. I did succeed with a few. Now let me go over the rest of the books I read in February and March. I did not make any plans for March because march has been a disaster.
The Dresden Files 1-5 by Jim Butcher- These were not on my list at all. Yet I read them in February because I’m a rule breaker like that.
All the Shadowhunter books by Cassandra Clare- I read them all. The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, The Dark Artifices, the three novella collections The Bane Chronicles, Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, and Ghosts of the Shadow Market, the first book in the Elder Curses: The Red Scrolls of Magic, and finally Chain of Gold the first and brand new book in the Last Hours series. Looking back at it I think I lost my mind. That’s seventeen books folks.
Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell- this one took a while but I did it. It was on my list for the year so at least that’s over and done with.
So here we are, that’s my reading for February and March. I must say it’s not terrible, I just completely failed to stick to the plan, or to make a plan as far as March is concerned. Look out for the April TBR, and let’s all hope I stick to it. I also will do my best to post the reviews for the books I’ve already read. In the meantime, see you next time!
