5 Exciting New Book Releases for March 2nd

Hello, lovely Booknerds,

I was in the strangest mood when I wrote this. I write my thing about each book first and then go back later to add the intro and edit. While edition for this week I found myself very confused by where I was at emotionally when I wrote this… oh wait… I now remember what book I just finished before getting into this post and suddenly it all makes sense. It was A Court of Silver Flames in case you were wondering.

Yes, here are some exciting book releases for March 2nd. March is shaping up to be a book of too many books. I have a giant list of things I want to read and no time to read them in. Anyway, enjoy the list!

  • Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare- let’s be real. I have been reading these books for so long, and I’m such a fangirl of this world, that my excitement for this book is truly miles above everything else on this little list. This is a sequel to Chain of Gold and takes place in Edwardian Era London. London is my favorite place on earth and goin back there even if only in a book is truly amazing Plus I am so invested in the lives of these characters. I understand that not everyone loves Cassandra Clare, but I love her writing. Her books work for me. There is the right balance of character, banter, dialogue, and plot. I will most likely cry in this book because book two is usually where cassie starts upping the pressure to cry. Let me remind everyone of clockwork prince and what that did to me. Well, you might not know, but I cried for two hours after finishing that book it was bad.

  • The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner- My heart beat faster when I read the description of this book. There are rules! We have poison rules! I’m probably overexcited about this. The main idea I that there is a secret apothecary selling poisons to women to get revenge on men. And there are rules to the game. The book is told in split timelines. One is set in 1791, and the second is modern-day. I can’t wait to get reading. I believe this is standalone so I might just move it up on the list.

  • Every Last Fear by Alex Finlay- Once again this is a split timeline storyline. This one is focused on murder! I really hope you heard me say murder in a very specific way. If you did not hear it, please go read the sentence from the beginning and correct your mistake at once. Ahem, back to the book. Yes, there’s been a murder, and it might be connected to another murder from years ago. And the previous murder was committed by the brother of someone coming back to town in time for the new murder. I also got the impression that this is very much a family story. I hope I love it. My expectations for mysteries and thrillers have really dropped lately, but I still hold out hope that the premise lives up to the end result.

  • The Castle School (for Troubled Girls) by Alyssa B. Sheinmel- I’m doing a strange happy dance in my chair as I type this. The premise of this book… is everything. You know I love a good Dark Academia book, and this seems to fit right into that pattern. Possibly with some magic? Or parallel worlds maybe? It’s really not clear what is goin on. And that’s a good thing. How many times have I ranted that the summary gives away the mystery? This one does not give it away, in fact, what it tells me makes me more intrigued. Oh, and there are doctors running the school? What do you mean doctors? What kind of doctors? What is going on? I also felt some Phantom of the Opera vibes too? There is a lot going on. I can’t wait.

  • Dead Space by Kali Wallace- it’s a thriller set in space and I’m very excited. Like excited to the point I’m imagining myself saying all this in a singsongy voice. So there was an accident, and it might be a conspiracy, but before we find out more the person who knows more gets murdered thus making conspiracy seem more likely. That’s what I got from the summary. Granted my brain is currently on some kind of high from the coffee I consumed but this is still enough to catch my attention and excitement. First of all, I love to explore what other opportunities for corruption space can provide the human race. Second, I love a good conspiracy cover-up. I want to see where this book takes me.

Alright! Here we are. These are the five books to keep an eye out for on March 2nd. I am truly very excited about each and every one of them, and I think my thoughts make that very obvious. My expectations are really high. I hope the books will be even better than I think they will be.

See you next time,

Anna
