5 Exciting New Book Releases for Feb 2nd

5 Exciting New Book Releases for Feb 2nd

Hello Everyone of you lovely Book Dragons,

Today is the day we discuss upcoming releases for this week once again. I am cutting this short, but as long as this post goes up before Tuesday I consider myself on time. There are so many books coming out in February it is not even funny anymore. I had a time picking titles for this list. I always struggle to limit myself to a reasonable number when it comes to books and it was no different this time. I also tried to vary the types of books on this list as much as I could. I understand that not everyone is as obsessed with fantasy as I am. I love all kinds of books but my first instinct is to go towards fantasy. Thus the effort to pick things different from my usual instinct.

Without further ado, here is my little list for the week.

  • This Golden Flame by Emily Victoria- Tell me if a desperate to find her brother person awakening an ancient automaton with a continuousness and a mind of his own does not sound fantastic. If you said, “No Anna, it does not sound fantastic.” I will be forced to call you a liar. I’m very intrigued by the whole concept of this book. We have magic that seems to be broken too, and I am always a sucker for broken magic that needs to be fixed. We also have an automaton (a concept I am intrigued by) that was created by someone labeled as the greatest traitor ever! Scandal! Goodreads Link Here

  • Winter's Orbit by Everina Maxwell- Here we have a SciFi! Look at me bringing some variety into this list. This is an LGBTQ space opera. I am in. we have a rebellious prince accused of murder and a serious scholar forced to marry him in order to prevent intergalactic war. We do not want intergalactic war ladies and gentlemen and assorted others. War is not good. People die, economies crumble, and just bad things happen. Marriage can’t possibly be as bad as that. • Of Wicked Blood by Olivia Wildenstein and Katie Hayoz- Look everyone, I am a simple soul. Fantasy is my lifeblood and more often than not, it is what I am most excited to read. This book is no exception. From what I got from my casual glance at the summary this is an urban fantasy. There are cursed rings involved. As someone who grew up with Lord of the Rings, I am already excited. Cursed Rings are great because they don’t seem like they shod be threatening but they are. It’s the perfect disguise for a curse. Let’s make it shiny. Anyways, Goodreads Link Here

  • The Bad Muslim Discount by Syed M. Masood- this book sounds amazing. It promises me humor, drama, long and intertwining storylines, and family dynamics. I love all of those things. The book follows two families, one from Pakistan and the other from Iraq, as they make a life in the modern-day United States. Goodreads Link Here

  • The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah- This historical novel is written by a master. I have heard so many people praise Kristin Hannah’s books. That I have no choice but to believe them. I need to actually read some of them, but historical fiction is difficult for me. I truly don’t know why that is. In any case, this book takes place in the Great Depression Era America and follows one woman as she makes any choices she can to survive. As many of you know I like to go into books as blind as possible just so that I can avoid spoilers and expectations so I didn’t read the summary all that carefully. Here is a link to Goodreads.

This is it. My tiny baby list. I hope you enjoyed my picks for the week and that you keep an eye out for them. I have no idea when I will actually get to these titles but eventually, they will be read and I will be victorious.

See you all next time!

Anna
