5 Exciting New Book Releases for Feb 16th
Hello, fellow Book Warms,
It is that time again. Time to discuss some more books that are coming out this upcoming here Tuesday. Once again I stuck to five books only, and I tried to find a nice variety of books. I am most focused on the first book on the list personally just because I have been waiting for it. But every single book has something that appeals to me in the description. My brain is like a sponge for various topics so luckily finding books to engage it is not difficult.
Without further ado, here are the five books to look out for on Tuesday, February 16th in the year of our legally approved calendar 2021.
A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J Maas- Let’s all be real here, I could have just put this book on this list and called it a day because my excitement or it is higher than for the rest of the books combined. I have read Sarah’s books and so I trust her to write something that I will love. I have been waiting for this to come out for what feels like forever. This is the newest installment in Sarah’s A Court of Thorns and Roses Series and my hopes are so high. I usually dread getting my hopes up this high, but I’ll risk it ALl the teasers have been worth it so far. The only problem is that once I read this I would have read all of the available Sarah J Maas Books and that makes me sad to think about. I know she is writing more but the waiting is torture.
The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey- Okay This one has me hooked. Not only do we have a clone having an affair with the original’s husband, but we also have a murder. I fully expect the synopsis to be lying to me about something but I have no idea what. I like the mystery aspect of this book, but I also like the SciFi aspect of it. Functional clones are not yet within our grasp so reading about what could happen if they were would be fascinating. It will be fascinating, the book exists.
We Are the Fire by Sam Taylor- Here is my favorite thing” fantasy. We have a secret army gathered for the corrupt sounding emperor, we have best friends with differing ideologies, we have monsters. There are a lot of things promised in that synopsis that I want to read about. I just hope I get satisfied. Oh, and also the cover is amazing. This is a debut novel so we shall see how things go from here.
Dangerous Women by Hope Adams- This book is not something I thought I wanted but it turns out I am fascinated. The story takes place on a convict ship bound for Australia and one of the passengers is truly dangerous. First of all, I want to learn more about female convicts sent off to the penial colonies. I am not as familiar with that topic as with many others. Second of all, we have a locked room mystery. I love locked room mysteries if they are done right. And lastly, we have a ship. What is it about stories set on ships that makes me want to read them? Is it the fact that we can’t control the ocean despite everything? Yeah, I think that’s it.
The Memory Theater by Karin Tidbeck- the description of this book had me clutching my metaphorical pearls with excitement. The story is sad to take place in a parallel universe, that at first glance seems too good to be true. The bit that really has me hooked is the mention of punishment for growing up. In a world where we are expected to grow up as quickly as possible, and we want to grow up as quickly as possible, it is fascinating to read about a place that punishes you for that outright.
Alright, what do you all think of this list of books? Do you see anything you like or are interested in reading? I have come to the conclusion that I am a Book Monster, you know just like the Cookie Monster only with books. I want them all.
